Restaurants I recommend:
Goch (Asperden) - Swan - Good ol' traditional German food - Blog article
Since the corona pandemic, they stopped serving a la carte. In a way, the buffet is better since you get to taste all their best selling dishes.

Goch - Steak Brothers and Kox - Dry-aged beef and more - Blog article
This is a great place if you are a carnivore and love dry-aged beef. So many different cuts to choose from.
Restaurants I haven't been to recently. I've posted an article in the past but can't vouch for the experience anymore.

A family establishment in Goch that has fed the residents of Goch for generations. Great for schnitzels with a large selection of toppings and their spareribs.
I've always enjoyed fine dining here. My favorite is the roast lamb with herb crust and port wine sauce. They have a great selection of fish, meat, vegetarian and seasonal dishes.
Note: For those who don't understand German, 'Rats' has nothing to do with rats. The name is referring to the fact that the restaurant is situated in the cellar of the monumental town hall (Ratshaus).
From Pad Thai noodles to green chicken curry with Thai aubergines, they serve all my Thai food favorites. Note, they used to have a picnic table for eating in. However, now it's only take aways. I suppose you could eat in your car...

A great place for a quick schnitzel fix. A schnitzel here is so filling that I skip fries and salad since I can barely finish the plate.
I kid you not. An excellent seafood restaurant so far from the sea shore. Being Japanese, I'm extremely picky when it comes to fish. The slightest whiff of a fishy smell would have me heading to the door. Here, I've enjoyed the seafood without any doubt concerning the freshness.

Seriously you have to go for their dark chocolate ice cream and one of their red fruit sorbets. They are only open in the summer season during which long lines are likely but worth the waiting.
