About Me

stormydayinholland
Neko is my other name. It simply means 'cat' in Japanese. I'm probably a cat that got mistakenly reincarnated as a human or I'm a human in this universe but am a cat in all other parallel universes. As a human, friends know me as a foodie-nerd-writer-artist who has roots in the U.S., Germany, Japan and the Netherlands. Living up to the reputation of cats being curious, I'm curious about the balance of mind and body, biology, medicine and the nature of things and different cultures. My heroes are David Attenborough, Brian Cox, Stephen Hawking to name a few and many more writers, musicians, poets, movie directors, artists and philosophers who color outside the box. In short, I love paradigm breakers. As the black cat that refused to stay put in my golden cage in Tokyo, I struggle to reconcile my rebellious nature with my heritage that traces back to ancient Japan.
