Small family restaurant with Korean home cooking. My husband had the Bibimbab (his first) and I had the Bulgogi. Delicious! For desert we had the Hotteok pancakes served with ice cream and mochi.

Over the decades, every time I am in Koln, I drop in for some German classics like Eisbein. Sorry, I can't really say much about the beer because I am cursed with alcohol intolerance and allergies. However, judging from the liters that are consumed, I guess it's great.

A must go place for chocoholics. Not only do you get information on the history of cacao and the manufacturing process, but you also get to indulge yourself in the museum cafe. Go for the extra dark chocolate cake which is literally death by chocolate! Don't forget to swing by the museum gift shop for more chocolate.

Modern and clean. We had a superior room with the lake view. There is also a very large underground car park. The lake and park added tranquility and had one resident swan named Dimitri. It was nice seeing him going about his business each day in the lake and park.

I stayed here for luxury weekend getaway to celebrate the 40th birthday of a close friend. Is a posh designer hotel with a lot of attention for artwork. They have valet parking and are right next to the station. Not cheap but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
